No heat

Furnace blowing cold, or not running?

First, check the thermostat is set to Heat and the furnace switch is on. Still cold? It's usually an igniter, flame sensor or pressure switch, and most of those are fixed in one visit.

AC not cooling

Warm air coming from the vents?

A tripped breaker, a failed capacitor, a dirty outdoor coil or low refrigerant cause most of these calls. We test all four before we quote you anything.

Sample price range

Same day in summer

Strange noise

Banging, squealing or rattling?

A new noise means a part is loose or wearing out. Switching the system off early often turns a big repair into a small one.

Quick answers, no hold music.

How fast can you get here?

Most repair calls in Toronto are booked the same day. Emergency calls average about an hour.

Do you charge for a quote?

Quotes for new equipment are free. Repair visits have a flat diagnostic fee that goes toward the repair.

Should I repair or replace my furnace?

If it's under 12 years old and the repair is less than a third of a new unit, we'll usually recommend repairing it. We'll show you the numbers.

Do heat pumps work in Toronto winters?

Modern cold-climate heat pumps keep working well below −20°C. Most homes keep the furnace as a backup for the coldest days.

Are your technicians licensed and insured?

Yes. Every technician holds the required TSSA gas licence, and the company carries full liability insurance.
